Went into Biology knowing full well that we would be cutting up steaks to test the muscle contraction. I thought I would okay with this (despite being a veggie), but as soon as I saw the steak... Boom. Nearly fainted. Got sent out of the lesson. Bumped into a classmate arriving late. Heard laughter as I walked away...

And earlier I had a crying fit in the toilets... I went from the common room to see the other Head of 6th Form about my UCAS form, but she told me to come back later. As I walked back into the common room, I could see people smirking at me.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

...fuck, the links in my sidebar are broken since I changed my URL
Serves me right for using absolute URLs there, I guess
Indeed, although depending upon the mood he is trying to invoke (or simply the style in which he is writing), Schönberg reminds me of a great many things: Quiet clear ponds, the descent of an owl on a mouse, a heat wave, a kitten with a ball of yarn, an unfinished painting, a quiet seduction. Before he got really obsessed with his own ideas, Schönberg was untouchable when it came to mood and tone.
I'm looking at replacement power supplies for my work lappy (a MacBook), and apparently all of the OEM power supplies suck. Yes, the overpriced ones from Apple. They all have issues with the DC cord fraying, sometimes as soon as a few months after purchase, and so far Apple's response has been "BUY ANOTHA ONE YOU RICH MUTHAFUCKA!"
Seriously not cool, especially considering that the reason why I was looking into a replacement in the first place is BECAUSE THE DC CORD'S FRAYED. I may well be better off finding my spudger, a soldering iron and a piece of shrink tube and fixing it myself!
Indeed. It's one reason why, for home use, I bought a regular PC laptop and installed Linux on it instead of getting a MacBook; Apple has a history of screwing people on accessories. (The other is that a comparable MBP would have cost easily 2x-3x more...)
I'm only using a MacBook at work because it's a hand-me-down. Its replacement in its old role is an ASUS running Windows 7.
As a Mac user, I find it perversely amusing how the accessories are so often fragile and ridiculous while the machines themselves (when not having succumbed to some bizarre external fate) basically last forever. Seriously, we have some ooooold computers that are still perfectly functional...

sometimes i think having a tumblr would be okay. someone stop me thinking this.
Refrain, good sir! The only well-used Tumblr is the one used with reasonable frequency by someone else.
This amuses me.
