Richard Dawkins is about as subtle as a train wreck but the man stands behind what he says and I truly respect him for that. The problem is that he doesn't know what he's talking about a lot of the time, and he's an asshole.
Yeah, I like how he can't accept people having opinions other than his own; and I like how radical and uncompromising he is in his atheism. I admire how smug he is in his condemnation of others, and I like how he can be a massive jerk.
The man is so convinced that he's right that he cannot accept that other people disagree with him; he perceives destructive intent in the opinions of those that don't accept how absolutely reasonable and right he is. He sees disagreeing with him as some sort of crime.
