So that GhostPCL fonts package I was yammering about a while back...the one that includes open-source versions of Univers and Avant Garde Gothic? I decided to go back and actually look at all the included fonts, because I hadn't before.
Weirdly, it includes a typeface called "A030" with appears to be a weird hybrid of Arial and Helvetica...G and R seem to resemble their Arial counterparts, while everything else more closely matches Helvetica.

Well, the GhostPCL fonts are supposed to replace commercial fonts that the software needs to work but couldn't legally be distributed with an open-source product like GhostPCL. So...my guess is that an Arial substitute was needed, and the one they put together was based on a Helvetica clone.

Anyway, I thought of US 35 today because we ate at Bob Evans, and they had a picture of the original farm on the menu. I actually went there back in the 1980s with my grandparents.
Also, the TVT forums are non-specifically pissing me off at the moment. I can't really put my finger on why, but I have to wonder if I've been living in more of a daydream than I thought, and the forums really are getting angrier. :P

It's not just you, really. Many people feel that way. It's sort of been that way for a while, though it's possible closing IJBM has basically accomplish what everyone feared it would, and that's release all the evil that was held in IJBM on the rest of the fora A la Pandora's Box or The 13 Ghost of Scooby-Doo. It's just taken a while to to take hold.
Still, some of the newer members seem pretty angry and a few of the mods don't police the boards like the used too, it seems, so that certainly doesn't help.
It's gotten to the point where I've started sticking mainly to the Heap and a few other threads I lurk. And even that is getting frustrating. I don't feel comfortable posting in Insecurity or the MSPA thread at all now because of all of the, pardon my French, bitter assholes with nothing better to do but talk down to people.
Just...when I came to TV Tropes in 2008, it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. A fan site where people were actually nice, welcoming and relatively polite? Unbelievable! Now it's like fucking 4chan /a/, and it's headed straight for the toilet that is (or, well, was back in 2008; I have no idea what it's like now) 4chan /vg/

OTC is the current punchline of the fora, but I did notice that the rest of the fora can be rather hostile. Several tropers that have been there for a while have noted this as well.
Speaking of OTC: I just saw one of the better threads there suffer a hijack attempt from one of the OTC spotlight-stealing squad. Apparently, if it's in OTC, it's for arguing about politics, not anything else. :P

That last post was my goofy attempt at a backstory for the roads, namely the interchange of I-71 and US 35. For some reason when the US 35 bypass was built, rather than build a new interchange, ODOT simply added ramps to old US 35 from new US 35, making an indirect connection between (new) US 35 and I-71.
