    CA Supermart or The Andersons,
    IIRC.
Ah, yes. I started the hypermarket chain when we bought The Andersons, but when we expanded outside Ohio we used the CA Supermart brand.

At least, that's the story as I'm telling it now.

...I can't remember whether or not the Albertson's/SmartCo Foods on Chambers Road is empty.

Only one way to find out!

    ...alright.

*is apparently driving from Columbus, Ohio to somewhere in Colorado*

...Google Maps's pictures show the Albertson's/Sav-on signage still intact! (The address is 5141 Chambers Road.)

I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything but Summit for the rest of the year, but they don't interest me anymore.

ABC Inc is too lazy when it comes to buying things! EMI is getting broken in two and sold to Universal Music Group and Sony/ATV Music Publishing! This is the third time this has happened! (ABC Inc got beaten to buying The Huffington Post and Warner Music Group previously.)

So there is a pet supply store not far from here.

For some reason, whenever I'm in there, it makes me think of Powell, Ohio, and I don't know why.

^ Clearly your buying decisions need to be more impulsive.

    A pet supply store?

...I immediately thought of the PetSmart at Aurora City Place. The Pier 1 Imports, Linens-N-Things and CompUSA adjacent to it have all closed, which is kinda depressing. Nothing has replaced them, either. They're pretty big buildings, too.

The one I was talking about is called Pet Supplies "Plus". Yes, with "Plus" in quotes like that. I don't get it, either.

I used to prefer PetSmart, but I kinda like PSP better now. It feels cleaner and more well-lit, and it's never nearly as busy.

I went and looked it up and saw Indianapolis, upon the mention of which the NBC version of 615 Music's "Rainmaker" package popped into my head.

Also, ABC Inc trying to top a bid of $1.9 billion, for something that's not even in one of the core sectors? I don't know about that!

The "Plus" is in your mind!

Also ABC Inc may or may not be giving up for now on trying to get a movie studio. Summit is terrible, MGM/UA is insolvent (but the last two times it was up for sale, its suitors craved DAT LIBRARY OF 4000+ MOVIES), and Lionsgate...well, I don't know.
  • What about starting your own?

^^I have considered starting a unit named "ABC Films Enterprises", which would exist at least in part to manage film library content from acquisitions, and strike distribution deals with other companies. And in case any sort of talks with Lionsgate fell through.

...why do I think about this?

AmErIcA was a woman who owned The WB for about four seconds in 1996, before selling it back to Time Warner and Tribune.

Under her leadership, The WB did nothing.

I associate vane displays mainly with those billboards for truck stops that show their gas prices. (Though most of those seem to use LEDs nowadays)

I'm reading about E-470 now. It's kind of an oddity: it's not a state highway; rather, it's maintained by the "E-470 Public Highway Authority", and is funded entirely through tolls and private investments--no state or federal funding.

It is essentially a privately-owned toll highway.

As much as I bitch about OTC every now and again, it's always interesting that the bile and venom is so thick in religious foras that OTC looks like a delicious tropical cocktail in comparison.

In related news Googling "Sura 5.51" and reading some of the threads that have popped up over it should give you a pretty good idea of what it feels like to want to claw out your own eyes and throw them at a computer monitor.

Though, it did provide some clarity. Funny that I read the same passage in four translations of the Qur'an and  STILL had to go online to figure out what's what.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
...when did you get interested in religion?

Hmmm...I've had something of an inkling since High school. Buddhism seemed interesting to me, but that partially because I was something of a depressed teen back then and my teacher was not doing a very good job teaching it, or rather, he was teaching the watered down version of it.

Might not have been his fault, could have been a lousy textbook.

Honestly,  Neil Gaiman's Sandman has probably had a pretty serious affect to my approach to religion.

I also continued studying and gaining interest in College. Earning a minor in Religious studies.

Also, the answer I was seeking WAS in one of those four books on further investigation. But it was from the version of the Qur'an that was basically written to encourage animosity between Muslims and other groups, so I might have missed it because I was skimming over their hate-filled comments, or I just didn't notice because it gave multiple translations for the word and one of them was the same the others where using.

You all needed to know this.
