You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
If you think of the course as a preparation for the serious submission of research, then it's justifiable, if slightly extreme. As Jumpingzombie said, you can't call Wellington "dude" in a history paper. That being said, I'm not much of a fan of conventional grading in the first place. I see it as a lazy method and failing to account for content, among other things.
It'll be an experience. It's so broad reaching, I don't really agree with all the point. Plus, in my opinion, it gives way to too much "othering" of different sides. But, hey, it's not a terrible movement and even humanism has feminist ideals.

The more I think about gender in relation to anything, the less sense it makes to me.
For a very long time I never really cared about my (or other people's) gender. Until I got older when people seemed to start emphasizing it more and more.

My biggest problem with feminism as it currently stands is it tries to be an umbrella cause for not just women, but for such movements as GLBT rights. This may have changed, but some years ago the National Organization for Women's website stated that as their main directive. The problem is they can be (and have been) vicious to these very things they claim to ally to whenever it suited them.

There's been (and still are) places and events with what is called a "woman-born-woman" or "natural born woman" clause where TS and TG women are excluded. There is outrage at this, but I have never seen NOW or any other women's movement ever even try to address this issue.
Still gorging on AVGN (working my way through the 2009 archives now), and dammit, I should know better by now than to read the damned comments, because they're typically either pointless name-calling, or equally pointless whining about some ridiculously minor point, something only an obsessed fan would even care about. In particular, someone on the Castlevania Part 3 review keeps complaining that James did something wrong in r e a l l y v e r b o s e f a s h i o n, and I'm like "So what? If you want a complete walkthrough, there's plenty more on YouTube. This isn't Reviewing the Reviewer, now go away."
I know someone who is a feminist who is incredibly pro anything GLBT, so they exist (Though, I get tired of some of her facebook posts, since I feels she goes too much in the other end of the spectrum. But, that's a whole nother topic)

Did you get to the Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle episode yet?
I watched it when it was new and I hated it. It didn't help that it went so overboard with introducing a plot into the show that the next several episodes were bland "back to basics" ones, without any costumed guest characters (they were part of the appeal for me, the other part being the cool old gaming technology).
AU: I did, and to be honest, it didn't bug me that much because it seemed like the show preferred to do plot-based episodes as the occasional one-off rather than an ongoing thing (like Linkara does). I also haven't minded the back-to-basics episodes, since so far they've been of games I've either never played, haven't played in a long time, or never even heard of.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Hi, everyone. How's it going?
It's awkward when you're taking a class with a professor that's near universally praised around your school, and you secretly find him kind of annoying.

I'm going to share a discussion I'm currently having over something that annoys the fuck out of me -- which is people, regardless of where they stand politically, opine a need to implement testing at the voting booth to prevent the "dumb" and "stupid" element from having any say.
<g> we know the issue is, realistically, taboo. once you let dumb people vote, they are never going to vote to remove their ability to vote. so you have to trick them somehow
<Cpl_Forsythe> and therein lies the problem with your logic
<g> the only proper way to assess knowledge and intelligence would be a sort of test, and nobody would ever agree on the content of that test
<Cpl_Forsythe> those people that you think are too dumb to vote? They feel the exact same way about you
<Cpl_Forsythe> and of course, you lump yourself right in with the smart side
<g> people don't usually attack my intellect, but you're right that people could probably be tricked into it because they often think they are one of the smart ones.
<Cpl_Forsythe> g, what you're suggesting is no different than what that jackass over at the huffpo did a few weeks back -- and countless others have suggested, from both sides of the political spectrum, for years
<Cpl_Forsythe> gosh if we only could keep those idiot liberals/conservatives from voting. A pre-voting test perhaps
<Cpl_Forsythe> can't you see how stupid they are, voting against MY interests?
<Cpl_Forsythe> clearly they must have the IQ of a rock
<g> i don't want to do it to dismantle the democrats but rather to heighten the discourse
<Cpl_Forsythe> that's fine
<g> as is, a presidential election is a bunch of mindless propaganda meant to convince the idiots
<Cpl_Forsythe> just realize that those you're placing in the "stupid" category are dreaming up the exact same machinations against you for the very same reason
For those of you who don't know, America did have tests at voting booths to prevent the "dumb" people from voting. They were mostly in the deep south. I'll let you connect the dots on that one.
The key here is that "dumb" is near always code for something, that something is quite often "people with a different political view/skin color than me" but it can be other things too.
Also I am finally done with all the stuff I had to do today. I also played some moincraft. Made some enchanted stuff, not because I had a good level or anything, I just like purple glowwy things.
I may have said this before, but it's absolutely bizarre to hear people talking about going back to school the first year you don't have to go back (I'm waiting at least half a year for college. Even then, I'm going undeclared and mostly because my mother will disown me if I don't).

October? That's a little surprising. Don't most UK schools start in September?
On the one paw, I like the idea of voters having basic political literacy (not a test of viewpoint, but of actual knowledge of the current situation and issues, and how the system works), which would make it harder to control voters with mindless propaganda. On the other paw, I like to think that people who are going to be affected by the change in leaders should be able to have a say, even if they are not very knowledgeable. This is why I think that education in political matters should be better in mainstream American high schools, so all of the voters will be informed, not just the ones that studied in an advanced class.
The problem with your first point is setting the standard for a "basic political literacy." As in how the bar will be set, and I will state that this is completely impossible to do so in the absence of bias. The idea sounds good in theory, but in practice it'll be pretty much the same thing as stated above: weeding out voters who don't agree with you.
I agree that everyone should have their say, but not at the danger of letting politics rear its ugly head into our public school system. It's already a cancer on higher education which has resulted in entire institutions becoming polarized like Berkeley and Liberty U.

(Plus, you can argue that it's unprofessional to use such casual language in a paper. Like "dude" or something)

And WTF, I called Wellington "dude" all the time.
^^Hey, I call plenty of them smart people dudes, but I don't think it would fly in a college paper. Unless the teacher was cool.
^The loud obnoxious, extreme minority of feminists who actually do.

Went to Goodwill meaning to get a shirt, got Blue Train instead.
Got a filling. It was fill-riffic.
