I like Hydrox a little bit better than Oreo, I think, though it occurs to me that I haven't seen Hydrox in the stores around here in quite some time.

Late to the party: never had Hydrox. Personally, I still pine for Mystic Mints. Used to buy them all the time when I was a child. Then, they stopped making them :/ Grasshoppers just aren't as good.

The reason I went into the dentist today was on my back wisdom tooth I had a little cavity forming and I'm really proactive about that sort of thing so I went in to get it repaired. He said that if I just continue to brush it with a proper flouride toothpaste (lately I've been using nothing but baking soda) he said that it'll re-mineralize and fix itself. I've never heard this before, have any of you?

No; most of the toothpaste I've used is fluoride and I didn't even know there was unfluoridated toothpaste out there (I did know about the toothpaste with baking soda, and am currently using it due to having a travel size tube of it on hand and forgetting to ask Mother for more toothpaste).

I have high-fluoride toothpaste for the same reason, it works.
Seriously, people? You expect us to pay $50 for a theme some of us would get bored of within 6 months? I know those are meant for rich folk but jeez, it's like they think Tumblr's used exclusively by social media nuts with Euros lining their pockets and bedsheets.

I'm on a self-imposed Tumblr exile until such a time that I can watch the latest Doctor Who episode, because, as I learned last season, people there have no understanding of the concept of spoilers.

So I'm going through and inserting the pages into the book and I just ran a test print of a few of the pages and by scaling them to a not-so-nice-round-number (like 150%) it wreaks havoc on the screentoning. Not much of an issue but I'm glad I'm doing this before sending it to print.
Man, politics around here have gotten silly. They want to build a casino at National Harbor, and out of nowhere come these negative ads saying to vote no on the ballot question that would allow the casino. Turns out the "grassroots" group opposing the casino is actually an astroturf front set up by the company that runs Charles Town Races and Slots, which would be the new casino's competition. :P
Even sillier is the fact that National Harbor has been growing some astroturf of their own, running their own pro-casino ads.
My thoughts? Well, I live in Virginia, so I can't vote on the question anyway, but I don't really have any moral opposition to gambling as long as you don't overdo it.
I found a story in the Baltimore Sun about it; I'm not sure how many people know about this particular tempest in a teapot, but I know I'm sick.of the negative scare ads this year. :P

Back from a late night/early morning drive.
On US 62 westbound as you come into New Albany, there's a rather prominent OH 62 shield. It's right on the city limits, so I'm not sure if it's ODOT's gaffe or the City of New Albany's gaffe.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see that New Albany keeps US 62's speed limit at 50 mph most of the way into the town, though once you hit Olde New Albany they totally pull the "oh hey, it's 35 mph now, ok that's 1500 feet, now it's 25 mph", which I hate.

The dentist office I was at today is on US 62 (so is my university for that matter.)
Lee: Driving around the United States, it always appeared to me that aside from Las Vegas and a few remote indian casinos; wherever gambling is permitted, the surrounding community looks like absolute shit and attracts the lowest class of people. See: Montana and Louisiana.

The only parts of Colorado I'm familiar with are Gunnison and Lake City, but that was years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped a casino in that region, too.
This is a pretty affluent area, and National Harbor in particular is entirely new, so I think the Maryland government is going more for a Vegas feel than a degenerate riverboat casino feel.
