  • People actually listen to <lowercase music> recreationally?

Pardon me but, how? The slightest bit of background noise renders the entire exercise mute.

also The Gza is coming out with a new album. About space. I am far more hyped than I should be.

    Hi Anonus.

    Hi world

I see JZ got in trouble for going pantsless
  • lowercase

it shouldn't surprise me that someone recorded himself handling pieces of paper and it got turned into art

    and yet, it does
  • last.fm is loads of fun, provided that you find /mu/ acceptable because parts of the site are basically /mu/ outposts.

well on every recording of a live lowercase-esque show i've heard (read: the only one i've heard), they were quite happy to leave in background noise like rain drumming on the venue roof & people making noises

Hello. I'm awake again after yet another unwanted nap.

Thinking maybe I should consume caffeine.

I dreamed Professor Utonium sold my family a big house and we tried using the swimming pool without first buying one of those net things to fish out dropped objects with, which was a mistake.
  • Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
In Australia that would most definitely be the case

Earlier, I dreamed I was on a crowded bus with a seat right in the stairwell, for some reason. Wut.

Also, I see on KYM that there's a picture of Rosie O'Donnell with the caption "RULE 34: One exception". Oh, of only they knew the true, horrifying power of Rule 34...and a little piece of heaven called Exit to Eden. :P
  • that reminds me i need to find that pic of hot pepsi on coke action

Wall noise is apparently like harsh noise but harsher
  • I went to see Battyman 3.

It was good. I don't think I'm gonna review it though, mostly because spoilers and a lack of drive to do so.
  • Hey, hey guys

Take this quiz, feed a child.

Trust me, it's from the WFP. They're the ones responsible for FreeRice, so I'm pretty sure it's cool.
  • I took it. :]

Hopefully now I won't have as much of a chance as getting into Hell or whatever. :P

Wikipedia is not satisfactory for an in-depth explanation of the inner workings of a Roman Catholic cathedral, even though there is a lot there. Perhaps I should find a book on this? Or visit one...?

If by a cathedral you just mean the large churches (as opposed to a monastery or something similar), they run much the way every Catholic church does. Just bigger and with more people involved.

What distinguishes a cathedral, I believe, is that it houses a bishop, and need not necessarily be especially large, though they often are.

That is true, but outside of administrative duties a bishop is not all that different from a standard priest.

Now, a bishop's administrative duties are themselves a pretty interesting topic, but also a longwinded one.

If the bout of fisticuffs were to be held now, I would win, because I am alive.

If it were to be held while Mr Hemingway and I were both alive, he would win, because I was only nine months old when he died, and a nine month old baby, no matter how well trained in the manly arts, will always be beaten by a full-sized, 61 year old author.

Unless the baby is also a ninja, obviously.

Here's a thought: Can nostalgia get recursive?

Like, 10 years from now, will we see a bunch of kids talking about how The '90s Are All That was the greatest thing to happen to TV and how TeenNick should bring it back?
  • i wish to come up with a song lyric for this signature, but no song lyrics are coming to mind
you should pick the tuxedo shirt, whoever told you that idea is probably well versed in the ways of tee shirts

^^Yes. Case in point: being nostalgic for the way Boomerang was before Cartoon Network turned to shit (though, honestly, I think it was kind of starting to do that not long after Boomerang launched).

CA: Now I'm having visions of people wanting CBS to bring back <i>Happy Days</i>, or something. Except that it's been in wide syndication for years, and so it's easy to find.

YTP: The Powderpuff Girls and The City of Towncity

Sugar, spice, and everything. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect crème brûlée. But Professor X accidentally added sugar, spice, and everything to the concoction.

Thus the Powderpuff Girls were born!

Using their lack of super powers, Blossom, Bubblecup, and Butts have dedicated their lives to fighting evil, and the forces of crime!

Oh, hahahahaha, this "miracle weight loss pill" that was at one time being advertised for something like $150 a bottle (no shit) is nothing but konjac root extract—a simple bulk laxative. There's some evidence that bulk laxatives can help someone on a decent diet help stay on it, but the huge amounts of weight loss they claim in the ads are, of course, BS, and the makers were sued by the FTC over it several years ago.

I swear, some of these cable shows get the worst advertisers known to man. I mean, diet pills and ambulance chaser ads. I'm surprised there hasn't been any "SEXY HOT CHAT LINE XXXXXX" ads or ads for psychics yet, though that'd probably be in the wrong demo.

^^Those tend to show up on late-night syndicated reruns of young adult-oriented shows (e.g. South Park)...

I'm watching true-crime shows I taped off of Investigation Discovery. I'm guessing the target demo for these are people with one foot in the grave or a major disability.
