You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
So I've found the Internet has made it impossible for me to take Impact seriously.

  • Also, that song makes me think of VHS tapes for some reason.
  • Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
The first scene in the video reminded me of the SNES Starfox.

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
    ^^^I know, right?

...for some reason I find it strange that people on the Internet don't like chain restaurants. I assume the Internet has a higher concentration of discriminating people or it's another manifestation of being bored of suburbia/homogeny.
  • I don't think anyone really likes chain restaurants. the food is mediocre to poor, but you know what you're going to get and it's fast.

I don't "like" them but I don't really mind them.

I find it kinda weird that there's this standard "Americana" aesthetic they all share. It's some way to come off as "authentic", isn't it?

It's all about dickwaving. Like with beer. Go mention beer in any internet discussion and I guarantee that within seconds you'll see someone making a comment about how shitty American beer is, and how they only drink a certain ale that's brewed by a half-blind old man in northern Belgium who produces 3 bottles a year at a very princely sum.

Or they brag about drinking something horrible like Arrogant Bastard Ale, which proudly wears its I'M A DICKWAVER label like none other.

But back to the subject at hand, yes, everyone wants to appear sophisticated. At least they can live that fantasy whenever they're just words on a screen to someone else.
  • I think it's more of a "You have to have some sort of theme, and that's one thing that you know everyone will at least kinda like, or at least be neutral towards".
  • restaurant chains are like politicians: You want to have something that is immediately recognizable that almost everyone will at least put up with.
  • Went to the library, picked up

One time, I tried to write a crossover where Arkham Asylum was originally located in Arkham.

It wasn't a very strong premise, looking back.

I haven't been to Red Robin in years.

The one nearest me is by a Costco that we seldom get to.

I remember it being about what I expected. A burger is a burger, beyond a certain point, you know?

I never get burgers at those places, or any places.

I have an aversion to beef/red meat.
