...For some reason I'm imagining the Wendy's Waterpark as being off I-75 in rural Kentucky, where it is the only attraction for miles around.
(And of course, this drives me to look through the road trip photos again)

Also I decided to look it up on Google Maps, but somehow I got distracted and ended up taking Street View of World Drive towards Walt Disney World.

...so I have considered swapping pieces of ABC Studios Distribution (e.g. parts of its capabilities, the TV rights to Walt Disney Pictures films, the Marvel cartoons) back to Disney in exchange for the full rights to most of the Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures libraries.

My mother was talking about this the other day. Our family has never really been "a part of the neighborhood", as she put it. We're rather solitary in that regard.

My mother's "friends" are mainly her coworkers, and she generally makes no attempt to keep in touch with them outside of work.
She does have one best friend, whom she met at a job about 15 years ago. They're close enough that we basically treat her as part of the extended family.

This is where we should have our Wendy's Waterpark:
(I actually looked at this interchange on a map, the road actually dead-ends about two miles to the west/right)

By the roadside?
...god, next year Paramount Pictures will have been using its current logo, in some form, for ten years. I remember when the original "90th Anniversary" version first appeared at the end of Entertainment Tonight and I thought it was weird.

On Barnes Road, in full view of Interstate 75!
...Now I'm remembering this dream I had once where I took a freeway exit to this little two-lane road. There were a few businesses around the interchange, one of which was a McDonald's attached to a building containing a full-sized swimming pool.

Wendy's is getting a lot of talk in the Crotchety Old Bitches thread, but because a Wendy's near someone's hows is apparently a popular hooker hang out...
Or maybe this is an elaborate ploy to appeal to the adult male demographic.

I haven't had a 3 Musketeers in a while.
...I always found it weird how their marketing campaign de-emphasized the mascots in the last decade and decided to focus on the "light-and-fluffiness" of the bar. I guess they thought cartoon characters were too childish to market it to adults.

Just got back from target!
Wasn't there very long, but I still managed to get a few pictures:

...god, another fun idea...
(And of course, this drives me to look through the road trip photos again)
As bizarre as the whole concept is, my first thought is that it would have been awesome to be one of the people who designed the place.
Far from standard road signs, but still interesting to look at.
Or maybe Disney liked those colors then or something.
The article notes that they kept most of the undeveloped land in the area, though, which seems like a solid business decision.
Or maybe it does to me, because our family never interacted with the other people close by very much.

...although there really isn't room for it there.

...and seeing as how it isn't, you've got to be kidding me.

Wasn't there very long, but I still managed to get a few pictures:
The main aisle up the middle, looking toward the grocery section
The signs used for the grocery aisles
The girls' clothing section--I was worried I'd look like a creep taking this, so I waited till no one was around
The pharmacy counter
