Fun fact: that song is a note-for-note copy of "Supersonic" by J.J. Fad. To the point where, even in the sample-happy world of hip-hop, it's widely considered a ripoff.
Fergie has always been one of my guilty pleasures. Hell, the Peas in general are, except for their last album, which I think everyone can agree sucks. Like geez, they had something with the E.N.D. and then... they just lost it.
Also "Big Girls Don't Cry" is legitimately good. It's one of her songs where she doesn't rap, for one, and the songwriting's actually a little deeper than usual Peas fodder.
Of course, he's also kind of a shit rapper except when he's having a good day in the studio.
Mind Screw: It's visually and musically very surreal, but the plot is even stranger than any of the gameplay would lead a player to believe. The full version of the game contains hidden poems, loads of cryptic Japanese text, Morse Code messages in the title screen, flashing screens in between levels and during bosses, distorted voices and all sorts of fun things to spend time decrypting. It's pretty much House of Leaves: The Game.
I really should find a working download of HELLSINKER.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
My mom is friends with the guy who used to VP Geffen or whatever they're called. Whoever the label is that Suge Knight was at. Aside from actually being called "Suge Knight" in polite company, he said that the guy is actually a brilliant businessman and about the only dumb thing he does is he gets really generous out on the street, like one day he just gave his $50k pendant to some little old lady he was sitting across from.
From what I understand, that Little Wayne guy is pretty smart when it comes to business too.

He may be a brilliant businessman but Suge Knight is an infamously seedy character. As in, he's suspected to have had a hand in several murders, and sent out armed thugs to bully people into/out of rights to their music.
He's not a nice guy, regardless of whatever front he put up.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

I just got back from The Book Loft in German Village...they're open until 11 p.m. every day of the week, believe it or not.
The place is awesome--it's in a couple of really old (pre-Civil War) buildings, and it has 32 interconnected rooms of books. The place is like a maze; they have to have maps hanging throughout the store to help you navigate it. There are literally books around every corner.
I bought myself a copy of Traffic: Why We Drive The Way We Do and a copy of Agatha Christie's The Body in the Library, which has a cool pink cover.

Also they have great prices on a lot of this stuff. The cover price of the hardcover edition of Traffic is $24.95; I bought it for $6.99. Even the Kindle edition costs twice that!

Another fun fact: Dr. Dre produced "Supersonic".
Yeah, even with my generally pretty Progressivist opinions on hip-hop, I find it hard to not like "Supersonic" better.
I suppose you really couldn't call Fergie forward-thinking though.
None of those girls make music anymore, sadly. I think they only had that one album and then they broke up.
See also: Roxanne Shante, one of Nicki Minaj's influences.
I can't remember the last time I played ping-pong.

I am disappoint.
50 Cent is pretty well known for that.
