^^ Because it's the last workday of the week, so it's going to take its sweet time with the "being over" part.
'Course, it's already been an hour and a half since I said that...I need a glass of water
Another odd thought: If I'd fathered a child at 22 the same way my mom had me when she was 22, that child would be in middle school now. Time flies, doesn't it?

It's strange to me that I'm a week away from 22 and that's the age my parents were when they had me. It's like...somehow, they were responsible enough to raise a child, yet here I am at the same age and I pretty much still am a child. :\

Get in the Time Bus, guys.
We're going to 1994 so we can shop at Incredible Universe.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Yesterday was "Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day," in response to the recent upsurge in Chick-Fil-A protests. Apparently, there were also a number of sit-in counter-protests organized by the LGBT community.

Good morning JZ.
I didn't sleep for very long and am now motivated to doodle some more. I doodled a sleek airplane because nobody in cartoons seems to want to draw them like that.

The letters in the piñata's speech balloon remind me of how little I think of their aesthetic...ugh. Makes me feel like I'm out of date; I prefer things that are more ornate or neater-looking most of the time.

Things That Will Make You Feel Old:
That Charlie and the Cholocate Factory movie everyone hates came out SEVEN YEARS AGO.

I prefer the 70s version, too. I'm lukewarm toward the 2005 version.
I remember being impressed that Christopher Lee was Wonka's father because the only thing I knew him for at the time was playing Saruman.

I prefer the 1971 adaptation, but I’ve always wondered if that’s just nostalgia talking because that movie was a childhood favorite of mine.
I do think there are certain things the 2005 movie pulls off better—for one, I think it makes the kids a lot more genuinely dislikable. 1971 Veruca Salt, for instance, was a brat, but she never struck me as particularly annoying, and if anything her little musical tantrum makes me think “oh, that looks like fun!” 2005 Veruca is just greedy and ungrateful enough to be insufferable, so by the time she’s thrown down the garbage chute you’re practically cheering for it.
Her dad, too, now that I think about it—1971 Mr. Salt was almost a likable guy, aside from the whole spoiling-his-daughter thing. 2005 Mr. Salt was exactly the kind of smug rich bastard who you just wish you could reach out and smack.

Willy Wonka's backstory was insanely stupid, though. Especially because, y'know, the movie is supposed to be about Charlie.
