After the Washington Nationals shredded another victim Thursday night, a speed bump shaped like the Milwaukee Brewers, they reached a place that for years they could only imagine. When they look up, all they see is possibility. There are no teams to block their view. Late summer is approaching, joy is replacing disbelief and the Nationals have the best record in baseball.
This is beginning to look like the Redskins' 1991-1992 season, except IN BASEBALL. XD Sure, the Caps have been doing well in hockey, but they always choke in the playoffs. :P

@Chuck E. Cheese redesign: I like it. Like Tre said, it's far from perfect, but it definitely strikes me as a step in the right direction.

I noticed Insight Communications has put out a software update for our cable boxes that replaces the on-screen Pace logos with Insight's logo.
Makes me wonder how many people would notice a change like that...it always seemed weird to me that so many people can look at something like that every day and not notice when one day it's different.

Not bugs, the logo in the upper corner of the onscreen guide and menus.
It used to be the box manufacturer's logo (Pace), but now it's Insight's logo.

Good night Lee.
One thing I noticed about that Chuck E. Cheese commercial is that there were quite a few shots displaying Guitar Hero prominently. First off, does anyone even care about those games anymore? Secondly, what's the point of an arcade version of that game, when everybody and their brother seems to have a copy of the game sitting around at home?
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I keep thinking that it's based vaguely on John Williams's Superman theme. At least they didn't go the Paramount route and turn their movie music into an unintentional ripoff of another famous piece of movie music! :P

^ Yeah, the 2003 jingle always struck me as somewhat watered-down sounding. Bland

My mind leaped to the SP/LP/SLP settings on VCRs.
I can't recall my mother ever recording in anything but SLP...
No but it's way worse here than it usually is elsewhere.
Also he feels the need to constantly narrate, being an author, and often narrates your objective. Causing it to be repeated.
Eg. Character will tell you you need to turn the lights on, the camera will focus on the place the light source is located, and then Alan will narrate that he needs to go turn the lights on.

It's just....the whole game's like that really.
from what i've seen, it looks fun gameplay wise.
is the plot as horribad as the pacing or whatever?

The plot seems to mostly be focusing on how meta it can be, and little else.

spooooooorts.
I don't even know what any of that means.
You mean bugs?
I hate those things, especially when there's more than one and they overlap.
oh come on, it's only 10 PM, why is nearly everyone asleep
I am watching Helloween 4545's LP of Alan Wake and it's hysterical.
THEN WHO WAS ISLAND? AAAAAAAAAA
guys look at this fucking eel
I don't know how to put it, exactly.
Might be because I'm watching it being played rather than playing it myself, but everything is just so...blunt.
Like the monsters might as well have signs on their heads that say I AM EVIL AND VERY SCARE BE AFRAID OF ME TO YES BLARGALARGAL
and just, they try to make Alan a deadpan snarker and he just sort of comes off as a complete tool instead.
I'm not articulating this well, but yeah.
Improvement.

it's good fun

I've only been to an art museum once.
Saw a Thomas Chimes exhibit, was pretty good.
