Most of the trees are still there, though a couple had to go to make room for the expanded highway. :\
Both pictures are taken from the same side, but in the first one I'm standing a block and a half away looking down the street, while in today's picture I was standing on the corner closer to the bridge. (It didn't occur to me to try and "match" the shot until I'd already left.)

So I like to imagine that The New Adventures of Amazon.com and The Insufferable Jackass is done with some rather obvious Flash animation, and is looked down upon by fans of the original series for being different, even though it's not that bad of a show on its own.
Left work early and went cherry picking with the momma. Then we found the used bookstore I had been trying to find on the weekend. I finally found the book Dreamsnake for an great price. Hooray for kind of weird, 1970s allegorical science fiction! (I'm just gonna blame Imi for the fact I seem to be reading more odd literature lately) My only problem with the store was it's bad organization.

^Was CiCi's good? I went there last month after having not been there in a few years, and it seemed better than it had been then. I thought at some point the quality of the food took an obvious dip.
Their regular pizza (which is pretty much the only kind I eat) isn't amazing, but they've got a ton of specialty stuff, plus pasta and breadsticks (which I can eat til I die, they're just that good).
Also this one had apple soda (Fanta Red), which I have literally never seen in a soda fountain before.

Sheldon Squid: A squid who makes his home in a coral reef. Fancies himself an intellectual and has anger control problems. Often finds himself in the middle of Sam and Fred's problems.
Sam Shark: Sheldon's annoying, redneck-ish neighbor. Constantly tries to eat Fred.
Friedrich "Fred" Fish: A neurotic, (rightfully) paranoid sunfish.
William Warren Weed: A wise old strand of seaweed anchored to a rock. Wears sunglasses.
so apparently Bugs Bunny was a marine at one point, and was actually promoted pretty frequently until being discharged as a Master Sgt. at the end of WWII.

So I ended up getting dragged to the dentist's office anyway, and afterward we went to CiCi's Pizza Buffet.
Things went better than expected today, I guess. Though I have a stomachache now.
