I liked reading Photos of mundane things, but I don't have a camera so I never had anything to contribute. And I didn't usually have much to say beyond, "Gosh, everything looks so American in America. Golly, I am ignorant and foreign, aren't I?" which would have gotten tiresome very fast, so I seldom commented.

Oh, okay. It's just that a few times I posted pictures and got no replies at all, so I figured people had lost interest, but I guess that's not the case.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention: I didn't get a picture, but there was another intersection where the wind had the unfortunate effect of turning one of the traffic signals 90 degrees, meaning its indications were visible from the wrong street.
Thankfully there were at least two other signal heads facing each street, so I doubt it caused any accidents, but it was still potentially confusing.
