The author for whatever reason doesn't want anyone creating RAR files with anything but his tools. The source that is around is for decompression only, and no one has made a free compressor for the format because the license for the decompressor source forbids it (and I suppose no one cares enough to attempt a clean-room rewrite). It seriously reminds me of the pissing match between SEA and PKWare that led to the creation of ZIP in the first place.
While 7z can be annoying at times, the format doesn't have any silly, arbitrary usage restrictions...
Okay, it's 3 AM, I need to stop reading And the Fandom Rejoiced (the film section in particular is just about to make me cry, seeing as the Marvel cinematic universe and Lord of the Rings, two of the biggest geek triumphs in film history, are on there) and get to sleep.
Good night! AndI really want to see The Avengers now.
I did that with The Lord of the Rings back in the day. It has such a detailed setting...it was the kind of thing I could really get into and badly imitate
At the rate I'm going, I'll finish Homestuck by about 2016.
Everything from last night is an incredibly vague blur. All I know was that I was trying to install the LSD Dream Simulator and nothing would work. At all.
My avatar comes from an unofficial video for "Certain People I Could Name". I got it back when I was stockpiling avatars for the day when I'd stop using kanji for absolutely everything. The image itself comes from the moment where the main character watches a girl version of himself with epaulettes light up on the telly.
And you wonder why I like TMBG. It creates such wacky things.
Oh, right, this was what I was doing last night.
I remember that I was trying to make that whole "Our forum has a military man! Does your forum have a military man?" into a meme, but it didn't catch on.
Finally listened to Todd's "Call Me Maybe" review.
The song that he played near the end, "Bucket", is a folk song where I come from. It's about a dimwitted husband and his exasperated wife suffering through a Catch-22 of magnificent proportions. To hear a Caribbean folk song converted into a teenybopper tune was almost heartbreaking.

I think Friday and I got Gryphon this EXACT card(well, not the exact card in the video, but one that looked...you know what? You'll figure it out...) a couple Birthdays ago.
Imi: Indeed. And I remember when I read it, I didn't get half the jokes because I wasn't familiar with the source material, and there were a few words I didn't know at the time (like "brouhaha" and "decked"). I actually thought the Long Island Rail Road was made up, because why would a bedroom community like Long Island have a railroad? I do remember thinking the jokes toward the end about the alphabet were funny, though.

I should start working on Depth again.
I got like a third of the way through making that thing and never finished it.
"Center of the Sun" by Conjure One is the story of a flittering romance in a strange, dark world.
it's a pretty oblique song. but that's what I get out of it.
Progressive metal meets 20th century classical.
You best be scared.
SQUID

Maybe someday.
Squid why have you become the mustard of our doom?

Some people are just annoying.
Well, gotta deal with it. Eh?
