So apparently a couple weeks back my siblings' school district passed a resolution that said they'd eliminate buses to the high school if their levy didn't pass.
This kinda shit pisses me off. It's an obvious scare tactic to try to make people vote to give them money. "If you don't do what we want, we'll inconvenience you for the hell of it!"
The levy didn't pass. Whether they follow through with this idiotic plan or give into the inevitable backlash from parents remains to be seen.

Personally I'm of the opinion that busing should be a right for anyone who lives outside walking distance of the school. Clearly that's not the case, but it should be.
