On that note, have you ever played Hatoful Boyfriend? If not, you should totes download it right now (along with the English patch, of course) and play it at night. Only at night. Otherwise it's not fun.
Preferably while experiencing some sort of extreme sleep deprivation or while under the influence of something mind-alter-y, it really adds to the experience.
Anything, but multiple substances that are legal yet potent and don't cancel each other out (and aren't likely to kill you or put you in a position where you can die) are ideal. Apparently flu medication works for a lot of LPers (but they were sick when they did it so...)
BTW don't read that 3rd one till you play Hatoful Boyfriend because otherwise it just ruins the magic, and you're going to need all the magic you can find for that one.
There's a full translation for the current version of Yume Nikki. There is a translation for 2kki too, but it's very old and is like nine versions behind the current one.
These aren't really games you need to read too much in. The only time it's bothersome is when you're trying to switch to a particular Effect.

I remember managing to play the Dragon Ball Z RPG for the SNES all in Japanese except for ONE part where I needed a walkthrough to figure out what to do.
Basically, knowing the series pretty much clued me in on what I was suppose to do when, but this part was added and involved finding a cave on Namek to talk to a fairy to advance the plot...
Which...is actually pretty strange even by Dragon Ball standards.
