The guy is a gundam pilot and assassin (despite being 14 years old) who get shot down while on a super-secret, no one is supposed to know your identity kind of mission and ends up passed out on a beach and is found by the girl, who calls an ambulance. When the guy wakes up, he hijacks the ambulance and enrolls himself in the girl's school to assassinate her to keep his identity a secret.
For taking itself so seriously, Gundam Wing is king of a silly show.

I dunno, the cheesiness of what TNS describes sounds appealing to me.
Admittedly, the fact that the show doesn't seem self-aware about it is a big turn-off. I should maybe watch G Gundam at some point, since I know that's intentionally cheesy.
