Well if he actually were president, he'd already have access to the bully pulpit, so I'd rather an idiot who supports the right ideas in the bully pulpit rather than an idiot who supports the wrong ideas in the bully pulpit.

In terms of campaigning for said ideas, though I'd rather the bully pulpit be occupied by an idiot who supports the wrong ideas since, y'know, referendum on the incumbent.
