What *is* soft-grunge?

I've
come across the term "soft grunge" twice today. As far as I can tell,
it doesn't denote any musical genre (the closest term I can find is
"post-grunge", and no one likes that)--and when I look it up, all I get
is satire and invective. Does anyone know what it means?
