  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Also, Mo doesn't like Death Grips because he has no sense of humour. u___u
  • I just happen to think that Death Grips' more absurd songs read better than they listen.
  • also how dare you acuse I, a sea urchin, of shundalagundu, shundalagundu.
  • in our language we have the word "shundalagundu"

its meaning is "to engage in shundalagundu"
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
But Zack Hill's drumming is baller.

Why am I reading Equestria Daily

    People there are so dumb

Hasbro struck a deal to produce Disney Princess dolls, and Sethisto made a joke about Twilight being a Disney Princess

cue commenters going "oh no is Disney gonna touch MLP" no they will not
  • But Zack Hill's drumming is baller.

how dare you accuse Zack Hill, a sea urchin
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
By "baller," I mean "ludicrously skilful, impassioned and edifying to listen to."
  • but I would counter your argument by stating factually that it is impossible to play a violin with strings of water

    Ehhhhh.

Look, CatDog was kinda boring, but 101 was worse.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I dunno, 101 has three appealing characters and CatDog has none
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
But the art direction and actual animation for 101 was way less appealing and the writing for CatDog, as humdrum as it was, at least felt genuine in its averageness instead of hackneyed and try-hard. It also had a much better theme tune and didn't downgrade a significantly more interesting story with a bland in-name-only rehash.

Which is to say that CatDog was forgettable but acceptable where 101 was just not very good at all. If you want a worse show than the latter, you've seen them.

There are better forgotten series to mull over than either, however, by far. Pepper Ann and Chalk Zone are good examples.
  • My dreams exceed my real life
Hey Arnold was a really good series,

I watched Do The Right Thing recently and it was interesting how similar the texture of big city life was in both.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
But see, I don't feel like Hey Arnold! has really disappeared from the collective consciousness in the way that some other shows have. Although I will agree that it was a very solid show overall.

    I... I like 101 Dalmations the series.

CatDog replicated one possible relation between brothers, in which you end up having to spend a lot of time and compromising a lot with someone you often don't like, but always love.

For that it's worth something, even if it was lame a lot.

I am an on-and-off fan of the former
  • You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Aw man, I loved Chalk Zone back in the day
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I only ever saw it like twice

I wonder what it says about Nick that of all the things to come of Oh Yeah! Cartoons, the only one that actually lasted was Fairly OddParents (at least My Life as a Teenage Robot has a cult following)
  • I was just thinking about FOP today

It's depressing, isn't it? Unlimited wishes, he got, and he still has enough trouble to last him season after season. The show's central premise is that you can have everything you ever wanted and you'll still fall victim to human error.

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I disdain it for its ultra-cynical, nasty tone and its bastardization of the Dexter's Laboratory/The Powerpuff Girls art style

I wish Rob Renzetti were able to sell another show to somebody

At least it's less bastardized than what some Disposable Canadian Animation does to that art style
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
It is the root of that bastardization
  • You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
    FOP = √(Disposable Canadian Animation)

    nasty enough to alienate me
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
then again the show to which this thread's title refers is drenched in a needless cynicism not present in the source material and is only there because '90s trendiness

I dunno, it just seems like the whole thing is about how much pretty much everyone hates Timmy

But if nostalgia for it is any indication, it did speak to its target audience well enough
  • THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS
Ah, I see. It seems like a lot of 1990s stuff was about teenage alienation, even if the protagonists weren't teens yet...
