That headline implies Wikimedia is saying the monkey owns the copyright, which is exactly wrong, as Wikimedia's argument is that since monkeys can't hold copyright, the image is in the public domain.

According to US copyright law, the person who presses the shutter button is, by default, the copyright holder.
