This thread had a lot of build up, but consisted entirely of us convincing some dumb teen to stop smoking pot, and you could tell only Aliroz really cared.

  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
    why would we do that?
  • My dreams exceed my real life

    why would we do that?

    George H. W. Bush's orders.

It's what the network wants, so why bother to complain?
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
    Is GHWB dead yet?
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

You shouldn't, because then ABC will zap you with death lasers

better change your mind, or WTAE's van will be at your house...
  • You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
    That's not creepy at all!

    WTAE does not scare me

...And even when your hope is gone
move along, move along, just to make it through

Hey, what can I say?  I actually got to make-believe convince somebody who didn't want to be convinced.  That's as close as I'll ever get to winning an argument, even if it was fake, and I only had a rather small role in the scene of us all convincing that stupid teen.

It was one of the best days of my life.

Also, it meant a lot to me how you guys went along with it, even though it was all just obligatory corporate propaganda from the bush administration.

I got to pretend that I wasn't alone in my conviction, that the people I cared about stood by me.

(of course, to make it up to you guys, the network agreed to let you guys do a pro-marijuana propaganda thing, and you guys roped me into participating in entirely justified comeuppance.)
  • More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
I bet Manly McMacho smoked more weed than I did. :o
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch

It drew a record number of complaints and was shut down during the first commercial break.
  • what stayed on air longer, it or "Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos"?

ANHV managed a half hour, we only made it up to the ads

which given that this was on the ABC network means we lasted, what, 10 minutes?  if that?

    I blame McMacho

There was a criticism that Miko, the self proclaimed "Party Dudette" of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Shmuppers was the one who delivered the lecture on marijuana.
  • But I can quit if I want to. I'm in charge of my life!

Wrong! Not when you're on drugs!
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
