You know, suchians can digest that kind of sugar (contrary to old research), but with some difficulty.  It's not good for us at all, but we can digest small bits and eventually recover and have all ill effects recede.  We can also digest fructose and fruits, but we just prefer not to spend the ATP on breaking those down into the amino acids. Seriously, effort; not really efficient when you have to spend so much ATP to digest food to make ATP.  Meat works better.

In Rozburg, we eat iron nails more often than we eat Sweets; and it's better for us.
