    ...there was this girl at the pool.  She was leaning against a wall, and it was pretty late, in the evening, the sun was setting, and no one else was around.  I leaned on the wall next to her.  I'd just walked into the pool area, but she was there before me, though she hadn't taken a dip yet, for whatever reason.

    I asked her what she was doing there; she answered contemplatively and unspecifically.  In the slowly-dimming daylight but persistently thick chlorinated aura, cursory attempts at small talk gave way to vague philosophical musings.
