problems with wordigles

So, race -> ????tive ad-verb = Racial

AKA

Race Perk, Racial Perk

So, I thought Species was a ????tive ad-verb to the word "Speciei"

Species Perk, ???? Perk

And then I realized that's what the word Special was invented for.

God damn it why am I bad at this

Also, I call this wordigles because I am so bad with wordigles I don't even know what the proper description of the above event is called. taxonomical shenanigans?

  • I think the issue is that "species" and "special" are pronounced very differently.

    Blame it on English's inconsistent pronunciation.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    They are from the same root, but they came into the language very differently. "Special" is an aphetisation of the word "especial," which is French; "species" is directly from Latin, thus resulting in no vowel shortening.

    I think that the word would probably be "special," but with a different pronunciation, but I am not sure...
