    "Well, if it's dangerous to us, then leading it on a wild goose chase means we won't have to deak with it for a while. And I'd assume something superstitious would act odd around a bronze spider mech. And aww"
  • Belighor sighed. "T-this is still only the second floor, you know. I d-don't really think there's going to be anything we can't handle. Probably." He took a few steps down the hallway, then turned to face the rest of the party. "We d-don't really have much of a choice except to see for ourselves. I think. C-come on, let's do some scouting. If that's okay with you all."
  • "Your summon is quite intelligent, Mr. Coal." Either that, or Coal was severely overestimating his mech's capabilities.

    as you approach the hallway intersection, your Bestiary starts to flutter.

    Nathan shrugs. "I just wanted to be up ahead". He took out his bestiary
  • "What was that?"

    The voice comes from the right, down at the end of the other hallway. It's high, creaky, and wheezy.

    You hear another spat of rattling, and the word "Go." Along with impending, but surprisingly weak, footsteps.

    Your Bestiary flips open, although hesitantly, as though it has something more to say than what it is.

    Some creatures can be raised to life as skeletons or zombies, when this happens, it is usually at the behest of a caster, who the skeletons serve until his or her death, or (more commonly) their own. Sometimes, skeletons are instead produced naturally. These creatures are the result of ambient mana coalescing and taking up residence in the scattered bone particles of the Dungeon. Eventually, these bone particles form back into animate skeletons, who often simply wait for a more intelligent creature to direct them to what causes they may.

  • "Naturally-occuring Necromancy? Interesting," N muttered as he looked over the Bestiary. He looked at the Attack stat of the skeletons and, unconsciously, backed away from the corner.
  • Belighor sighed. "A necromancer? You'd think they'd have b-better things to do than harass adventurers." He focused, waving a hand at Demei. "They d-don't seem too tough, but more p-power can't hurt."

    Nathan decided to round the corner and cast Firewall as far away from himself as possible but in front of the Skeletons

  • As Nathan rounds the corner, you notice that while four of the five creatures that stand before you are quite obviously skeletons, one is not. At least not entirely.

    The beast has gargantuan skeletal hands disproportionate to its size, and fully intact, fleshy, staring eyeballs.

    A strange form of undead that resemble skeletons, Gazer Skulls should not be underestimated. Their powerful gaze attacks can catch unwary adventurers offguard, and there are few worse things than being surprised by a creature that can spout off Ice Bolts out of its eyes.

    Gazer Skulls have massive, humanoid bug-eyes that are perfectly intact, and very large hand bones. Otherwise, they resemble normal skeletons. Gazer Skulls can speak intelligibly, but are not particularly open to negotiations.

    His eyes begin glowing, and he fires a Bolt of Lightning from them, grazing Nathan!

  • N's eyes flit between the Bestiary and the battle. He does his best to put a Skeleton between himself and the Gazer Skull, without letting the skald get in the way. Considering that she's a physical powerhouse at the moment, hitting her wouldn't make much of a difference in the battle. However, it would probably get her mad at him, and N would like to avoid that eventuality for as long as possible.

    "Ray" N mutters, aiming towards the Gazer Skull.

    The Ray pierces one skeleton, spectacularly fragmenting its skull into a million pieces, destroying it, misses another, and connects with the Gazer Skull squarely between its bulging eyes, chipping a hole in its skull. "How dare?!"

    "Screw it" she arcs her mace back before throwing it with all her might towards the Gazer Skull.

    Your mace flies, and hits the Gazer Skull directly in one of its eyes, splintering its skull in the process. The Skull is dead, and the two footsoldier skeletons are all that remain.

    "T-that was surprisingly easy." Belighor said, sighing in relief. "C-careful, there might still be monsters on this floor." Noticing the treasure chest, he started walking over to it, only to be beaten by Nathan. "O-okay."

  • Nervously creeping up to the chest, Belighor snatched the Wand of Healing. "Er. I'll take this, if it's okay with you all..." He backed away before anyone could object, cautiously heading down the unexplored hallway.
  • "Probably not gonna help anyone else" Demei takes out the ring.
