I'm tempted to make this an announcement, but I figure a thread that will stay on the main page for a little bit then slip off will suffice.

I shouldn't have to say this, but rule #1 regards treating your fellow posters with respect. 

ATTACKING THEIR ABILITY TO COMPREHEND WHAT YOU WROTE AND SUGGESTING THEY CAN'T READ IS DEFINITELY A VIOLATION OF RULE #1. 

Especially if more than just them is having trouble following your line of reasoning. 

If you don't think a poster is quite understanding the point you're making, attempt to work it out WITHOUT violating the rules.

Second of all, I made the Social Justice thread because I felt (as other staff members) that it would be nice if we had more serious discussions here. I felt the community here could handle the discussion and keep it civil. I really don't like that I was proven wrong. I prefer if we didn't have to chose between serious discussions and members of our forum who can't handle them without getting upset.
