In the MK64 Rainbow Road there's a little fence that's only as tall as the wheels of each kart. As far as the physics engine is concerned it's high enough to stop the karts from falling off at most places, but then again physics engines have a really annoying habit of putting up invisible walls everywhere...

Yeah, I know about that. I just feel that defeated the whole point of the track, which was that it's like an exceptionally dangerous and extremely flashy ghost house track with invincible thwomps.

Personally, I like the MKWii Rainbow Road, because it turns the track into a high speed booster fueled adrenaline rush that grinds weak drivers into paste.
