Lonesome George died today

Apparently the last Pinta Island tortoise, by the name of Lonesome George, passed away earlier this morning. (scroll to the bottom)

I'm upset about this, honestly. Things like this really get to me.

Argh, I hate it when animal species go extinct too. Especially since I'm a Bio major.
