POWER OF A THOUSAND SUNS
Here's a hypothetical I came up with tonight that's causing me to have trouble getting sleep.
Let's say you stumble across alien technology or something. It binds with you, giving you access to the energy equivalent of the sun or more. Only you can use it. It's perfectly safe, but it doesn't give you any powers beyond being able to deposit a fuckton of energy, like, maybe with electricity? Let's say the specifics aren't important.
What do you do with that?

One of the major walls between teleportation (Firefox, why u no recognize teleportation as a word?) is the sheer amount of energy it would take to get such a thing done. I've always liked the idea of instantaneous travel (i.e. making all those internet hugs 'real'), so I'd like to delve into that.
And, of course, I'd submit my ability to scientists. If they can manage to figure out how it works and replicate it, boom, there goes the energy crisis.
