Rap group (I use the term loosely) I was in as a young lad. Roughly around the same time I was making TTIAM.
We liked to pretend we were the next Wu-Tang Clan or something. I contributed a bit of production (as El the Daze) and rapping (as Breath Weapon) alike. Fun times, but we kind of sucked hard.
I still sometimes work with Minnie Gunn, if only because that girl needs a friend, and DJ Nails and I keep in touch. Haven't heard anything from Benny Dreadz or Rey Don in forever, though.
We were a part of that hardcore cassette-is-the-only-TRUU FORMAT subculture that was briefly around in our area of PA. Minnie still is, which is why you will find none of our music anywhere even remotely accessible.

It reminds me of the kind of weird little ambient tape pieces you find on old cassette comps from the '80s, and being a huge fan of that stuff... well, yeah. I really like it.
I actually tried to do that but it didn't work for some reason.
Also, that piece is a distant descendant of one on TTIAM ("Kassettenacht II"), oddly enough.

this is true of me too
15-year-old musical me played drums at the royal festival hall and wrote electro salsa songs

god damn i had forgotten how much that rhodes solo grooved. the woodwind solo could be improved (or removed altogether) but damn the rhodes solo has feel
i should jump on my bro's music computer again once he has it set up and try and jam something out to improve that

Life on the Salt Flats: A Modern Album For a Modern Era (2013)Orion Pax (soon) -- Collection of old songs and unreleased material dating as far back as 2007.
Skullboy Entertainment Presents: Breath Weapon (TBA)
I was wondering if I could get you to do the art for that, actually. Because as Songs shows, I can't do album art for shit.

I do, but I need to figure out how to describe them, I'll send you them once I've done so.
Cool songs, guys.
Though Naney, I agree that you should replace that vocal sample as soon as you can.
In other news, this thing.
Work in progress, obviously.
And now I can finally save and re-open my FL Studio bones, hooray :D
I plan to (in addition to adding a number of oneshot samples as opposed to loops like most of the song is now) replace the bass sample with one I haven't used already, but I don't know any good isolated basses that would work. Suggestions are welcome.
I now have three finished tracks for Life on the Salt Flats, with another ("Standing Blind in Giza With a Dollar in My Pocket") I am working on as we speak.
So hey does anyone think anything about that thing that I posted
Well that is very helpful, thank you.
Like I said, that's basically the spine of the track. More will be there, it's draft two. I'm currently up to draft six and not a whole lot has changed. I'm making use of my newfound ability to actually edit old projects.
Also, suggestions for replacing the bass sample are still welcome.
Backwards samples tend to click.
Also the guitar samples are already backwards.
Thing is I've used that same flick of bass many times before (It's from "Harlem Nocturne" by Viscounts) and I'm just kinda sick of it.
I'll look into that, dank je.
Also I have acquired a weird piece of dialog. It is from Ghost Hound.
I got to, I think, episode three before I stopped watching.
Good show? Absolutely, but my attention span has made it impossible for me to watch TV lately.
Oilpool feat. Glowwy-Lookin' Lava Lamp -- How The Skull Boys Came to Rule The World of Midnight
We should really make a general music thread to split discussion of music from discussion of heapers' music.
this is a thing now and stuff.
for anyone who cares, updates on Life on the Salt Flats:
the album will also be available in cassette format in an on-demand basis provided I can find a suitable shipping method. Obviously, this particular method is not free, but the album will still be on bandcamp if you don't want to pay for it.
current confirmed tracklist, these are definitely going on, though their titles are subject to change
and the following are either in the works, are finished but I'm debating whether or not to put them on, or have other issues which need to be resolved before I can get them on. So they may or may not end up on the final product (in the case of the last two, I'm not even sure they were ever finished).
So yeah, stuffs.
I also need to find someone to draw me up some cover art.
I might also put my remix of Yelawolf's "Pop The Trunk" on as a bonus track if I ever finish that.
oh hey, that one song I did like forever ago that never came out
