I dreamed I wrote a book for children about what to do and what not to do while toy shopping

(You were expecting a Central Avenue thread, weren't you?)

This book contained advice such as:

When choosing a doll, make sure you look at all the available dolls before deciding. You gotta be sure you're taking home the right one!

Toys are expensive, and your parents know this. Never say "But it only costs [price]!" unless the price sticker on it is orange or red.

Some toys, like bicycles, require certain accessories. It's ok to ask for the essentials, but don't go overboard. You need a helmet and a bell to go with your new bike. The fancy baskets and the streamers can wait till your birthday.
