How do I handle death by the rules of cartoon universes?

Cirque du Yogi operates on something resembling Roger Rabbit rules, but in this universe, all of the human characters from The Flintstones are long dead (Dino, Baby Puss, and Hoppy live on as background characters, and Gazoo is immortal), as is Augie Doggie's mother/Doggie Daddy's wife.

In my version of 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Spot accidentally kills Dubya and Cheney, and becomes President of the United States as a result. She abdicates within hours and is replaced with Robo-Reagan, one of many robots modeled on Ronald Reagan.

So how the fuck does any of this make any sense?

You really should just make a master thread for this sort of thing. Also, your thread titles are frequently misleading because it sounds like you're talking about something very general and really you're just soliciting advice and that's kind of annoying to be perfectly honest. I mean, I would love to talk about the actual subject you present in your title but I feel like giving writing advice about worldbuilding is more uncouth, I guess, than advising on technical details or plot structure.
