I am aware of the irony, but HH isn't social media like Twitter and such are
  • an internet forum isn't social media. It's a social platform, but there's no advertising here.

social media has to have advertising?

I miss BitMonica anyway, she had capital knockers
  • social media is basically a convenient way to advertise or get the word out about something.

  • Who the hell was BitMonica

BitMonica was . . . not sure exactly but some kind of bitcoin mining scam or something like that?  Which hijacked HH for a while.

So you'd navigate to HH and instead of the forum you'd see this stuff about bitcoins and someone's "sexy" Kim Possible fanart nicked from DeviantART.

    It was really weird.
  • Sup bitches, witches, Haters, and trolls.
it was a ponzi scheme that asked you to give them bitcoin and they'd give you TWICE AS MUCH

On December 23rd, 2013, HH was hijacked and redirected to "BitMonica.com", a bitcoin Ponzi scheme site that had borderline-pornographic Kim Possible fanart as its "mascot".

It turned out we'd been running an unpatched version of Vanilla with an exploit that made this possible. Lee fixed it pretty quickly, but it happened overnight so there were a few hours when we couldn't get to HH at all.
