Question for fellow magic users

Do you call your spells out loud?

You know, like when you're conjuring a pile of kittens and you shout "MEGA MANIC MEOWNTAIN!!"

You should try it sometime; it makes magic so much more fun.

    But why needlessly increase your spell level for that? I understand using it as needed, but using it all the time just seems impractical

    Calling spells out-loud seems inelegant, somehow.

    But I haven't learned to cast them silently yet, so I usually whisper them.

    Also I'm a psychic caster so my spells don't need verbal components.

    I don't like calling out the names of techniques/spells/etc..  Gestures are okay though, unless it's a psychic ability.

    Things tend to be nicer when you don't need to open your mouth, or when you can say something else that makes it snazzier.  Or you can even keep quiet and let it work its magic.  Stealthily, if need be and possible.

    There's just something cool and elegant about calling down a thunderbolt with a flick if my fingers, without having to say a word.  It gets less cool and less elegant when I have to yell "THUNDERBOLT" or some eldritch meme.

    Besides, if I'm going to conjure barriers in anticipation of cutting someone off and boxing them in, I wouldn't want them to know, right?

    Can't avoid it for invocations, but that's a special case.
