  • well

I didn't need or want to read that today
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Fred and Bill Koch don't seem to do much with Charles and David

Fred seems to mostly buy historic properties and collect art, while Bill is also into energy but doesn't seem to do all the lobbying Charles and David do
  • ooooh so there's four of them

    i was becoming highly confused

Let me tell you. About Fallen London.
There was a story about how their father (or someone he hired to babysit them) would drive Charles and David out to a field and give them each boxing gloves whenever they argued.

e: yeah, it's the start of this book. Bill and David though, but yeah.

    that's....what?

    rich people are stupid
    That's true.
  • Fred&Bill and David&Charles basically hate each other.

They once had a fight over the family fortune.  It went to court and all that shit.  Fred and Bill lost.

I hear that Fred still doesn't talk to David or Charles.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
There were apparently rumours going around that Fred was gay and Charles and David attempted to use them to force him out of the company. It's been decades and I still don't think he talks to them. He is, incidentally, nowhere near so politically active as they are, and insofar as I can tell just a much more likeable person. But then, most people are.
