    for the 80th time, Pokémon was not on the UPN network, it was syndicated

    In Denver, it aired on the Fox station before the jump to Kids' WB!

    it made more sense for whoever owned the distribution rights to sign with The WB

    The WB could put the show in a consistent timeslot across the country (though some stations aired the weekday morning portion of Kids' WB! in the afternoon - I know KWGN did), unlike the individual affiliates carrying the show. The show also now had the power of an actual network behind it.
