Here we see the interior of Moony's Mini Mecha Repair Shop. These two girls are sisters, Muni and Luna Moony. Muni makes her living repairing mecha used in private tournaments to put her little sister through school. Muni inherited the shop from her father after he passed away in the Third War. It's not a glamorous life by any means, but the girls get by, and value each other a lot.

This is young Ms. Belldandy Hearns, feeding her cat Tibbles before heading off to work at her internship at a radio station. Hearns is feint of heart and would normally be quite concerned for her kitty's safety, but Tibbles is a veteran cat with impeccable balance, and has never fallen a single time in his long life.

You left out the detail that the girl in the foreground of the first picture seems to have artificial limbs, seems like it would be a good story.
