A man gets split in half spiritually and goes on a quest to beat himself up. The main villain gets off scot free despite turning the princess into a flesh monster.

The archangels and Lucifer both try to hire a young man to kill YHVH. Killing Him doesn't really work.

Thor, US ambassador to Japan, enacts a nuclear holocaust.

The protagonists give a belligerent dimension a physical body so that they can kill it. They then proceed to kill the concept of nuclear war. Physically kill it.
