Maybe you could afford to keep this stuff confined to a handful of dedicated threads instead of starting one every time you have a random thought related to one of these things? We really don't need more than one thread about some of these things and we have dozens and they tend to devolve into complete nonsense or totally divergent topics anyway.

Honestly, as gross as the sweat can thread premise was, it wasn't redundant. A dumb thread can be good if it's original.

There have been two recently (The Looney Tunes Show and Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production), but the latter, at least, is no apparent darling to its corporate masters

Looney Tunes as a franchise has seen better days. The original shorts' TV play, at least in America, was abruptly marginalized in the early 2000s and has never recovered (and that's not because "people didn't want it anymore," it was because of infighting between Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network). The merchandise isn't as common as it once was. As a cultural institution, though, it's somewhere in the neighborhood of the Muppets; well-known, revered by many, but not quite as big of a money-printer as it used to be, so it's "dying."

Also, the original shorts' digital availability is a crapshoot. WB hasn't put them on Netflix or Hulu, like they should.
