Election Time's come 'round again, so I'd like to ask: who are you supporting?
If you're not supporting anyone, I'd be happy to spread the word of Temperance and dissuade you from Feducci's duplicity and the Detective's brute tyranny!
For what it's worth, while I was Southwark's correspondent until I had to step out, I respect Jenny. A kind spirit with a deft hand was definitely something London needed. But Southwark would have ousted the damned devils, and I wouldn't let him down on that front.
I haven't picked my candidate yet, but I have no tongue for tea. I've waded into the Great Game, but I used to be an artist, and she was no friend to us. We've had a year of reforms and looking after the downtrodden, and I The Detective's a bit narrow-minded in her campaign goals, but she's as sharp as they come and therefore I know she'll succeed if she can actually get elected. Feducci's completely untrustworthy, but at least he has a real platform unlike that Contrarian.
for me it's Fuck The Police All Day Everyday, so the Detective was out immediately, and Feducci is very clearly campaigning on the Social Darwinist ticket in addition to being a Presbyterate Spy. I wasn't around for Jenny's election, but I like that the Campaigner's about addressing root causes rather than simple prohibition.
Do we really care that he's an undying man? It's not like he's one of those scheming Khanagarians. Nonetheless, I've put my coin into the detectives's cap.
DTC is confiscating honey, but hasn't figured out what to actually do with the stuff, and she's pouring it down a 'honey-well'. Considering what wells signify in FL Lore, that's probably...not good.
Feducci is backed by the devils, apparently, because he apparently helped instigate the rebellion that turned Hell into a bureaucracy and sent the princes packing to Mt. Brimstone. Impressive, but probably shouldn't be repeated.
The Detective seems clean so far, but her plans to reform the legal system are still a bit too narrowly focused. Also named 'The Grand Prosecution'.
There also seems to be a consistent belief that the Detective's going to be this #BlueLivesMatter, police state sort of person, despite the fact that it looks like she's gonna take a chunk of steel wool to the constabulary as it stands.
The result of the Investigation into the Detective's campaign say that she's in league with the Fingerkings, or someone similarly situated in Parabola.
So, Feducci's the clear front-runner (though the DTC is apparently gaining on him). Which is bugging me.
When Jenny won last year, I thought that was because her platform appealed to the most people. All 'charity towards the poor' and such. But now Bandage Boy's taken the lead, and his platform's basically a sexier version of the Contrarian's. I'm not going to pretend that the Implacable Detective's a super-obvious choice, or that the DTC's ludicrous honey-well isn't ludicrous, but I find them both a lot more similar to Jenny than Feducci. Maybe it's the fact that Dauntless came off as paternalistic, and the Detective came off as authoritarian (which she bloody isn't). Or maybe it's just that most of the base is going off of name recognition rather than taking a close look at things.
