I think using Brightflame instead of BA+ Hallow would be even more useful in some environments, i.e. EDH. While it would cost a fuckton more mana to get the same amount of Damage/Life, you actually get to destroy your opponents' creatures.

Yes, but assuming that you get to cast a fully reduced Blasphemous Act (Which is quite likely, especially in EDH), you get to dish out 104 damage for two mana, provided you played the bond.

that's enough to kill two players and leave one at 16 life.

Since all the lifegain is only one instance, you have to deal all the 104 damage to a single target/player, leaving all your other opponents completely fine.

And then you have this giant target painted on your face because you are now the guy with 144 life. Who has a history of one-shotting players out of fucking nowhere.

Well, if you're at 144 life, I'm sure you can do something with the implicit advantage. True, you have to deal with the board's hate, but you have set such an advantage for yourself that you might just survive and win, if you play the right cards.

I dunno. I think there's a big difference between playing a combo deck and playing a card that automatically wins you the game

I like to play fast and dirty and don't pull punches, but I don't like LAWL I WIN sorta cards.

You gotta give the other guy a chance, otherwise it isn't fun for anyone.

My favorite way to win games is to find ways to do an epic cherry tap.

It's why I like the Myr Galvanizer + Myr Galvanizer + Mana Myr + Razor Boomerang combo so much.

Awww yeah. It's 100 mana and 20 taps worth of PAIN.

I have it in my Edric deck on cockatrice and I've been considering throwing it into my Jenara deck in real life. Competitively, though, I think decks like that want to drop Amulet of Vigor turn one.
