But the art direction and actual animation for 101 was way less appealing and the writing for CatDog, as humdrum as it was, at least felt genuine in its averageness instead of hackneyed and try-hard. It also had a much better theme tune and didn't downgrade a significantly more interesting story with a bland in-name-only rehash.
Which is to say that CatDog was forgettable but acceptable where 101 was just not very good at all. If you want a worse show than the latter, you've seen them.
There are better forgotten series to mull over than either, however, by far. Pepper Ann and Chalk Zone are good examples.
But see, I don't feel like Hey Arnold! has really disappeared from the collective consciousness in the way that some other shows have. Although I will agree that it was a very solid show overall.
CatDog replicated one possible relation between brothers, in which you end up having to spend a lot of time and compromising a lot with someone you often don't like, but always love.
For that it's worth something, even if it was lame a lot.

I only ever saw it like twice
I wonder what it says about Nick that of all the things to come of Oh Yeah! Cartoons, the only one that actually lasted was Fairly OddParents (at least My Life as a Teenage Robot has a cult following)
It's depressing, isn't it? Unlimited wishes, he got, and he still has enough trouble to last him season after season. The show's central premise is that you can have everything you ever wanted and you'll still fall victim to human error.

At least it's less bastardized than what some Disposable Canadian Animation does to that art style

then again the show to which this thread's title refers is drenched in a needless cynicism not present in the source material and is only there because '90s trendiness

I'm depressed again. My pony plushie broke up with me after two years together, and the grocery store ran out of orange juice, which never happens. I'm sure the world is dying, and no one has told me yet. They can't bear to
