I can sorta relate. Smoking has no appeal for me, but weed is connected with drug/psychedelic culture generally and that does have appeal for me.

The stream-of-consciousness reminded me of the lyrics to one of their tracks, or more specifically the information overload theme on "Hacker" and "Culture Shock" - although both are actually relatively comprehensible at points, and frequently quite clever and funny.
