There seems to be this bizarre belief that if they don't block gay rights at every turn, eventually gayness will run rampant, like gay sex is just so tempting that no-one will be able to resist. You kinda have to question their own sexualities given that they treat gayness as something that holds an irresistible allure.
There seems to be a weird dichotomy with these people, where they believe both that being gay is HORRIBLY UNNATURAL OH NOES and that it comes so naturally that if it's ever fully accepted, everyone will want to do it.
Yeah, and these people think that's actually what happens, that gay people go out looking to "recruit". By that logic, the first time someone sleeps with the opposite sex, they've been "recruited into heterosexuality".
