Those letters made me think of the pieces from Perfection:

Some photos from the remodeling of the East Broad Kroger, earlier today:

It's usually pretty busy, honestly, but I have this weird sort of hangup about trying to include as few people as possible in my photos. I don't know why.

This morning I decided to go and upload some old photos I'd had lying around. Here's the first batch:

That looks like a cool museum
I like the part with all the words hanging on strings

It probably is, but it's still cool to look at!
As for stop signs: I dunno, something about them just fascinates me. It's amazing to me how quickly the red octagon became a nearly universally recognized symbol for "STOP".
In Moscow. The place is built to be a tourist attraction, hosts a museum, flea market, antiquities market and handmade goods fair. An interesting place, but looks, ahem, dubious if one is not using the main entrance

I took these pictures at a Burger King off of Chambers Road in Aurora, Colorado (not far from the city limit) on November 8, 2013. This location was recently remodeled to match the chain's current standard design:

There are lots of baffling logo changes over the years, and the retirement of the 1994-1999 Burger King logo is pretty high on my list.
Seriously, that was the perfect evolution of their logo, and what did they do? Decide to change to a cluttered-up version. Which also contributes to the chain's chintzy image, at least for me.

Also, as for pavement markings, the Aldi nearest the house used to have a prominent "ИO PARKING" zone

The Wendy's I had taken pictures of had been remodeled not long before; earlier in the year it still bore its old appearance (here's a Street View image of it from June of 2012)
That is a seriously nice-looking library. Also, the Wendy's look nice, too; I actually don't know what the inside of our local one looks like because I always use the drive-thru there.

That's a really cool library. I like round part with the stacks arranged in a circle...libraries are so awesome!
That Wendy's looks a lot like the one nearest my house does now, except that it has the old logo because it was remodeled just before the new one went into use.

...only upon looking through those pictures again did I notice that KMGH's building has a Scripps lighthouse flag outside of it now. Scripps bought the station in 2011; the last time I got any picture of the building with the wreath was in 2010, when the station was still owned by McGraw-Hill.
...is it wrong to find the 2012 Kroger design kinda dull now?

Oh hey, I didn't notice the Scripps flag either; that's pretty neat!

that library is magnificent, i'm jealous
actually these are all really nice photos; Denver looks really pretty
The 2012 Kroger look is kinda dull, but I prefer it to the look it replaced
