I mean, if you hate the place then just leave and cease to go there or look there ever again. I hated Minecraftforums so much that I ragequitted it extremely hard.

Not by giving ass-ended rants, or going to a different site then talking shit about everyone and everything I could find, but by refusing to go there ever again and just disregarding it's existence.

I do not know what happened to the mods/admins, the dipshitted mod-creators for the game, or the ill-gotten spam that piled up for eons, along with the absolutely unbearable "regulars" userbase. And I also don't care about it either, which is why I will never return to the site or make checking the stupid shit that goes on there a "daily ritual".

Problem with TVT is that I still care about it, because it used to be a good part of my life for a couple of years. It was the only blasted place I felt comfortable in. And I'm still half-tempted to return because I cannot find anything better.

I initially felt weird about leaving it, because I had been there for 3 1/2 years (and posting on the forums for more than two) and I had a lot of fun there when I enjoyed it more.

My main reason for leaving is finding Yack Fest more boring than I used to, and considering that this place is meant to be its sillier counterpart, I think it's a bit more enjoyable.

It was a copypasta from Encyclopedia Drama.

And trust me when I say that it wasn't just a select few people who angered many to leave. And you should stop automatically assuming how other people feel unless you've got any evidence to back it up.

And honestly, while I dislike flouncing, sometimes it feels really cathartic to just say how you feel rather than just leave, although it's probably the more mature choice.

It never felt too hugbox to me.

I still remember being thumped for calling Moonie a "weeaboo" jokingly once. I don't know about you, but that pretty much screams hugbox.

I think it's less of a hugbox and more of a emohive.

While it was made to keep assholes in line and away, it also tramples down anything that would be considered productive or joking.

You can't lash out at people who you find annoying, but you also can't address people being annoying to everyone else.

They allow for so much touchy-feely stuff to go on there and develop this tight-emocore culture inside that general interent behavior is resisted.

When I say emo I mean the cling-to-the-Insecurities-thread kind of people and a ton of the touchy-feely-insecure-with-myself people on the site that I don't have a problem with but wish would go away so I can talk about lesbians without people getting buttfrustrated about "choosing sexualities" or "negative gender characteristics" concerning fictional characters being derailed into realistic representations of actual people.

While I can understand how someone would be annoyed if a particular topic of discussion you wish for is derailed, I don't see why is it particularly bothersome to discuss realistic sexuality...?

well, in the context of a thread about lesbian fanfic, I suppose, but the thing is, a lot of the times, the trends we see in media (Prominent or otherwise) tend to reflect on society's way of thinking (Or internet culture, as the case may be)

so, yeah, I think that there's nothing inherently invalid about using "lesbian fanfiction as an argument against lesbian oppression" provided said fanfiction discusses lesbian oppression in the first place or if it can be brought up as a relevant argument.
