In short, Playism's web store will shut down on March 24. Access to purchased content and Steam keys will shut down on May 10.
It's a shame to see Playism's web store go.
For those who don't know, Playism is a company that localizes Japanese indie games for English-speaking audiences, and also localizes a bunch of western indie games for Japan. They've had a web store that sells the games they've worked on. It typically offers DRM-free + Steam key, so this ends up being the only way to get some games DRM-free. There are even a few Playism store exclusives found nowhere else.
It seems Playism will still be operating in the future, but just not running their web store.
So, this would be your last chance to buy anything, and download any stuff you've bought, and retrieve any Steam keys. (I know I've got a wishlist on Playism that I've been sitting on...)
Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds, Syndicate Plus, and Syndicate Wars are free on GOG (until September 3rd).
If you missed the offer for free Wanderlust: Transsiberian on GOG, I actually got a free gift copy of it, probably because I claimed it while already having the game.
also there are some flash deals that last like two days each (the current ones end in about 18 hours and change as well); right now they're Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition for $2.99 and a game I have no idea about called Pumpkin Jack
(you can see these on GOG's frontpage, which you'll go to when you claim the freebie)
Current flash deals are The Falconneer, which is some sort of action game, and AVICII Invector, which is a rhythm game featuring AVICII's music. Also I didn't know AVICII had passed away at some point, but the description implies he did.
* This bundle currently contains 991 items, of which "more than 600" have never been in a major bundle before.
* All proceeds will be donated to charity, split evenly between International Medical Corps and Voices of Children. (These are described further on the bundle page.)
* Only paid products are in this bundle. This is different from past giant bundles.
While I haven't played Pirate's Curse yet (it was actually on my wishlist!), I've played Risky's Revenge, and other games from the same developer, WayForward, as well as other games with the same composer, Jake "virt" Kaufman, and I think highly of them. I definitely recommend both games.

There's apparently a way to deliver malware through images on Steam.
It requires other malware to actually be deliverable though.
