Note its long snout, mess of shaggy hair atop its head, and its curved talon-like cloven hooves. Also note the prominent nostrils and legs that look too small for the creature.
The Catoblepas is sluggish, and its head is so heavy that it droops down. This is good, because if it looked up and gazed at you, you would die or turn to stone, depending on the storyteller.
Given its shaggy hair, its cloven feet, and its hump, it seems to be based on the Buffalo. In some tales, it has scales on its back to protect it.
In others, it has the head of a pig. But always, it has cloven hooves.
The Special Weapons Dalek from the 1988 Doctor Who serial "Remembrance of the Daleks". It's easily my fave Dalek design; i think it conveys otherworldly menace pretty well.
^In the Yaksa picture, I like the juxtaposition between modern ARifle people and these olde-arty giants. (I mean, okay, there's someone with fires in their hands too, but.)
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I put down sixty dollars for a pre-order, which you can still do (and should if you can, they only just barely made it past their funding goal).

Everyone's favourite cyborg skeletons, as drawn by Emortal982.
Great One by Mr--Jack
Ultralisks are kinda generic hulky monsters for a generic swarmy-aliens species. I like the atmosphere of this piece, though.
maybe because I'm thinking about Space Marines Being Doomed a lot atm
(I like it.)
On topic:
"Would you please die for me?"
...Ok. That's cheating a little.
